Hermione Thompson

Hermione joined Inline in September 2016 and specialises in public policy for emerging technologies.


Hermione holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Choral Scholar and Section Leader in the Choir of Clare College. She has sung in venues from Broadway to Sydney Opera House and appeared regularly on BBC Radio 3.


After graduating she worked in marketing at Lindsell Marketing, assisting the Head of Research in carrying out quantitative and qualitative research on behalf of clients and spearheading the Business Development drive. She subsequently worked as a Private Tutor with an extensive roster of clients and was particularly expert on Early Years and Primary education.


While tutoring, Hermione trained privately, and then at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, as an opera singer.


Hermione continues to be a passionate about music and opera, as well as politics, education policy and women’s rights around the globe. She is a voracious reader and lover of history, art, travelling, and anything to do with New York City.


A diehard Liverpool FC supporter, Hermione is an avid and very partisan fan of all sports from football to NFL, via rugby and cricket.
